No such thing as true 290 You can take any butane base refrigerant out a compressor no oil change and drop in 404a works like a champ do it all the time
Good to know. But the brand is True that's why I put that
I too have changed a lot of those Solartek controllers with the new ones under warranty.
Was not a fan of the Solareks. Always had issues with them freezing up the coils. I li,e the new ones also cause you don't have to mess with the plastic nuts. All the controllers that I have installed are working great. Those trues are what I cut my teeth on.
Oh yeah I saw that on the old one, that's good to know tho
May i ask you about my sc680. While i measuring 220v ac, the buzzer beeping. Do you know why? Thank you.
I sure hope true found a reliable controller that they use . Those old sollateks were crap. I always put in a basic constant cut in thermostat in place of those when they fail
These new true branded ones apparently last so we'll see. Thanks
Why do these always leak on the evap suction headers? Seems i average at least 2 a week.
Tec pac looks way way 5x more attractive and sleek. Looks more sturdy, stronger, better handle…. Everything better
They should of kept the standard handle up top wtf
Great video thank you! Have you ever had the unto say it’s running/cooling at evap display and show temps, pressures, eev steps, but not sending signal to cal at condenser?
Just slap some leak lock on it, should be golden
No, crank down on it with some pliers 😅
Oh? Y'all playing. I was gonna say.
Nice, I’m going into HVAC I’m a mechanic right now. Those are the same valves used in tire stems
Is hvac a secured business idea
Can I fit a hilmor pipe bender with all accessories in the CP4
Hey bro i hate to ask but im going to .you sent me a few stickers a year or so ago and i just put them on my hard hat since i started commercial. Ive been getting plenty of good comments pn them because they are bad @$$ is their anyway i can get anymore I'll venmo you of so
I got the revolvers
Never used Icon but I love their Doyle tools.
Much appreciated for the honest review there is not a lot of information out in these. I’ll be honest I love my set, I haven’t really noticed the auto off much, probably because I recently switched from analog and am still very aware of what I do with those or the testos. I like the size of these or the testos. I find the JB easier to read in the sun, and honestly not a fan of the placement of the valves on testo. That’s just my mileage so far obviously everyone is always looking for something different and without any feedback how can anyone improve.
How was today years old when I realized you can take the whole casing off like that.... Thanks for the hard work man will definitely try that on the next one
Good video ! i am having some fun with a Econet system right now. a Tip For You --- Wear Light colored clothing in the Sun. ( White Preferably ) Why do You think Arabs Wear All White ! Reflects the Sun ! Dark Clothing --- You are unaliveing your self. 2) Put up a 10' x 10' Pop up Shade over a Condensing unit You are Having problems with. Shade Can Drop Condenser inlet air temps by Huge Amounts ! 3) Put up a Pop up shade --- to Work under if You are going to be b in the roof a while in the Direct sun. Shade --- For the Win !!!
A great video brother. I actualky bought this set on Amazon. Its a great 1/4" set. Im going to purchase the 3/8" set later. Have a great week. I love Klein Mod Box and all of their accessories. 😊
Field piece ALLDAY. Reliable and awesome warranty for your tools.
That is a hard pass for me, same with the Elitech crap. I have all my guys with an SM380 and wireless probes and the entire wireless probe kit, plus a backup analog gauges, if using something with dye in the system. I wouldn't spend $350 on those let alone $700. I would break them and charging batteries like crazy. Just have to stay with Fieldpiece as it works and the best products. One of my guys has Testo's but I don't care for them but that is what he wanted. Good honest video and we appreciate it!
Been waiting for feedback on the Fieldpiece VCRT - but LOVE that they made one with a sight glass.
The hilmor VCRT is my 'Go-To' for replacing a leaking valve under pressure. I also have a C&D in my little 'grab bag' pouch that has the two tools, stems, and a couple nitrile gloves....there's also some old-school brass hex caps in case I can't get the thing out. The hilmor seems to grab the stems better than APPION (which I have 3 or 4 of) and some of the other brands - also have ones from NAVAC and Accutools that work just fine.
Are you saying the Bluetooth app is basically a custom label version of measure quick?
It's fieldpiece for me...after I bought my first one, I never looked back..(.someone stole and I'm still crying) I have the probes as well but I find that the manifolds are just quicker in certain situations. To power on each probe and clamps then wait for either of the apps to load...just my opinion. In any case I'm not spending 700 for a manifold with so many weak points
Thanks Adrian but I'll stuck with my Fieldpiece products
I got a pair for 150 lightly used another thing is no micron guage either
Thanks for the video no thought and quality from JB 700.00 no thanks hell no
At 10:59 on your video shows battery cover crack, why not use crazy glue instead of tape? I like your videos and I thank you for sharing this experience I like JB tools and it is a disappointment to see how this set of gauges did not last!
$700 for it to easily crack and break… no thanks
Yeah hard no
Anymore if they advertise “wireless” it needs to have wireless temp probes. Dang, looks like they need to go back to the drawing board.
I wish, that's what I thought too. Companies need field techs helping in the designs of these things for sure
SMAN 480 and Testo 570s type of guy…..can’t go wrong with either.
Solid choices 👌🏽
Great video Adrian! I agree with the stuff you showed. Same stuff I have noticed. I like mine. I noticed the same thing. They will work in certain situations and other situations they won’t. I do have to say they are super easy to read I. The sun which is a plus. Hopefully they take our suggestions and can improve them with version 2.
Screen is great. They need us designing this stuff tho 😂
No thnx
😂
Great review. My only question is why would you throw $700 around in the truck lol??!!
After a long day tools are tools 😂 they get dumped all together in the van
@@ReliableHVACR I feel you bro I’m a tool fanatic. I try to keep them as neat and clean as possible.
I like my appion ptc900
They should be welcoming of an honest review and build better based off of the honesty .
Seems like they focused on the screen display... great review iam thinking on the probes and wireless clamps.
Probes with a screen is where it’s at
Can't wait for others to follow
The other ear just wanted to match haha
😂
Ya these always looked funky to me and not well thought out. I’m interested in their wireless probes but seems like everyone that Is reviewing them online got them for free/sponsored by them
Yeah. Competition is good, navac has a clamp with a display on it too now for their manifolds. Others will probably follow
@@ReliableHVACR ya I’ve been waiting for fieldpiece to do the display probes
Excellent detailed review!
Thanks man! 🙌🏽
For $700....it definitely could have been better implemented. With inflation at such a high rate....we have less money to spend on tools....so the tools we buy need to be made with higher quality. I know your a FP guy and I'm a Testo guy....but every brand deserves a chance.....but the juice has to be worth the squeeze. Enjoyed the video Adrian
I agree it seems that they started to notice that digital manifolds were the new thing and they decided to trough out a product that they did no QC or even research on it and you can tell by how long it lasted adrian. My testos will last 8 months on batteries and i have dropped them off roofs and trown them in the van and they still look brand new. And my FB probes are the same way. Seems JB Needs to stick to vacuum pumps or redesign and actually try to make a good product
2 solid choices, other brands are a little behind the times in design honestly. Thanks!
Yeah soon as this heat breaks, I'm done til next year, I aint lying
😂😂😂😂
2 questions 1 can i put these on a manifold and 2 can i use these on a Vacuum pump system without hurting them?
Im not the only ac tech that carries a fishing rod in his truck it seems...hahahaha!!!
bro i just discovered your page but everything you post is relatable lol. just started working in hvac
when it gets hot the maintenance jobs never end. so many little things happen to these systems meant to stay cold
